Sweet, fresh and fruity – a refreshingly luscious gin bursting with the taste of summer. Pips Gin is an exploration through a summer picnic basket. An explosion of fireworks in a jam factory. Heaps of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries create an entirely natural distilled flavour. No syrups, added sugars or flavourings.
Port Charlotte 10Yo 50% 70cl Heavily Peated
Port Charlotte's 10-year-old, rich and smoky whisky made by the independently minded folks at Bruichladdich distillery on Islay. It is big and peaty with a maritime tang – the Bruichladdich team would claim that it's because their warehouses are so close to the sea, we're still undecided. In the end, the most important thing is the taste: it's rather good.
Portknockie 13yo Single Malt Cask Strength- Craigellachie 58.8%
A 13-year-old single malt from indie bottler Portknockie who also have a NAS bottled by Douglas Laing and Co, this bottled as part of its cask series release. In a trilogy of 3, the first (Bow) bottled at 63.3%, The 2nd titled Fiddle and this one called Rock. All distilled close to the village of Portknockie. Bow- Linkwood, Fiddle from Dailuaine. This is from the fantastic distillery of Craigellachie, single cask, 58.8% in its most natural form- rough filtered straight from the single cask, without dilution, colouring or any modern process, to ensure you get the most honest expression of the cask, with the fullest flavour as the master distiller intended.
Like the Bow and Fiddle, these will be hand waxed, hand labelled and and again in an environment friendly cotton-jute bag a trademark of the Portknockie Brand.
Portknockie 14yo 1st Edition Glen Moray 54.4% 2008
This single malt from Glen Moray is the 1st Edition in the Harbour Series, cask collection, with the title "Findochty", a bay close to Portknockie. The Speyside single cask whisky was distilled in 2008 and spent 14 years slumbering in a first fill bourbon barrel before it was bottled in 2022, at cask strength, and without chill filtration. An outturn of only 280 bottles. 1st bottling in a set of 3.
Raasay Single Malt Cask Strength 61.3% 70cl
A cask strength bottling of Raasay's core release. Peated Concerto barley is fermented for between 3 and 5 days, with the spirit being aged in a combination of 1st fill ex-Rye whiskey casks, new Chinkapin oak, and first fill Bordeaux red wine casks. The full process from distillation to bottling occurs on the Isle of Raasay!
