Sophisticated Speysider from the little-known Glen Elgin distillery. Vanilla-toffee sweetness and a splendid fruit salad on the nose, joined by butter, wood and spice on the tongue. This 18-year-old whisky is made by combining whisky matured in two types of casks: sherry-style butts and refill European oak. A balanced and enticing dram.
This whisky was made in experimental fashion and some of the spirit was distilled using a yeast more commonly found in the production of millet beer.

Traditional Fino wine is usually dry and is best consumed shortly after the bottle is opened in order to avoid losing its flavour. Kavalan’s Fino, matured in the finest Fino Sherry butts, however, provides mild sweetness that excites the palate.

Produced at Mannochmore there is no doubt, with this whisky becoming increasingly hard to find, it is becoming very collectible.
This bottle was produced and distilled by the Mannochmore Distillery where it was aged for 10 years in charred sweet oak casks.
