Sherry Aromas with a hint of chocolate-covered raisins, green grass and almonds fill the nose, complemented by notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, blueberry muffins and a touch of anise.
Aberfeldy, the heart of Dewar’s blend, is one of the lesser seen Scottish single malts. A beautiful distillery, and a very easy drinking drop
We are very happy to present the first Decadent Drinks bottling of Aberlour. This bottling is a vatting of two fantastic casks, one from 1991 and one from 1989. It is presented at full cask strength.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – layers of soft, honeyed waxes, pollens, beeswax, furniture oils, background green fruits and baked apples. Add to that some lanolin, white pepper and fruit salad juices. A really expressive and hugely enjoyable style.
Palate – great, textural arrival, with a lot of flower nectar, beeswax and flower honey impressions. Also olive oil, juniper, cedar wood and dried exotic fruits. Superb maturity and still wonderfully lively and vibrant.
Finish – long, elegantly fruity, with heather honeys, sweet dark ales, dried herbs and aged fruit liqueurs
Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland. It is renowned for its balance of rich sherry sweetness and smooth malt character, created through a dual maturation process in both traditional oak and sherry casks.
Meaning ‘the original’ in Gaelic, A’bunadh is made in homage to Aberlour’s founder, James Fleming. A’bunadh is a whisky hand-made from start to finish with each batch being created to ensure a rich and complex flavour of moist raisin, and homemade fruit cake. It is bottled at cask strength resulting in a robust and deeply intense, Sherried whisky.
Robust and intense with bitter-sweet notes of exotic spices, dark chocolate and oak.
