Tomintoul has upped the age on the Portwood Finish from 12 to 15 for this limited release. Full bodied and rich with lots of red-fruit notes, this is a very approachable yet complex whisky.

Glenfarclas 15 is for many the best in the Glenfarclas range (and it is a very good range). Still a family owned distillery, they use mostly ex sherry casks to create a rich, spicy, oily whisky. Direct fired stills, which can give extra oiliness to the new make spirit. The warehouses are tradtional dunnage warehouses, which are so cold they offer very little spare spirit for the angels. Bottled at 46% Abv, as this was George Grant's (current youngest generation) grandfathers favourite strength for it

An exciting new age statement expression from Macallan that’s matured in a combination of American and European Sherry oak for a minimum of 12 years. Here, the proportion of American oak ex-Sherry casks is higher than in the 12 Year Old Sherry Oak, but no ex-bourbon casks are used as they are in the 12 Year Old Fine Oak release.
Glenfarclas 15 Year Old Cheltenham Edition 1 46% 70cl
Celebrate the distinctive character of Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt with this limited 15 year old edition, commemorating the distillery's sponsorship of Cheltenham racecourse. Limited to 3,000 bottles, this special release is presented in clear glass, allowing Glenfarclas's natural colour to shine through—a notable departure from the customary dark glass used for their 15 year old bottling, rendering it an extraordinary collectible.
Tasting Note by Glenfarclas:
Nose: Complex, sherried, deliciously peated, light butterscotch aromas, with a hint of dried fruit.
Palate: Full bodied with a superb balance of sherried sweetness, malty tones and peaty flavours.
Finish: Long lasting, gloriously sherried, sweet, gently smoky, and distinguished.

A spectacular combination of peaty whisky and sweet rum casks. The experimental series has really been a great addition to the Glenfiddich range, and this fourth release more than lives up to the ones that came before it!

Glenfiddich have said that this whisky 'Will divide you' and, as such have provided two versions of the tasting notes Cane Tasting Notes
Nose – Lots of rich sweet toffee with some zesty fresh fruit notes and a lively spiciness.
Palate – A core of classic green fruit character, with the deep sweetness of baked apple and toasted marshmallows. overlaid with soft smoke and wood spice.
Finish – Long-lasting sweetness. Fire Tasting Notes
Taste Note 2
Nose – Billowing soft peat notes, like distant smoke carried on the wind.
Palate – An explosion of smoke, like a campfire built with Highland peat (but no medicinal Island notes). Overlaid with oak notes and deep toffee.
Finish – Lingering smokiness
