Ardnahoe 5 Year Old Inaugural Release 50% 70cl

New Islay distilleries are a big deal, with the small west coast island commanding leagues of dedicated fans across the whisky world. Single Malt from Hunter Laing’s Ardnahoe Distillery has been long anticipated, and is the first new whisky to come from Islay in 15 years since Kilchoman’s inaugural 2009 release.

Ardnahoe produces peated spirit in line with what Islay whisky is typically known for, but it is the only distillery on the island to use worm tubs in their process. Their limited first release has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks for 5 years, and is bottled at 50%.
