If any distillery has launched themselves to the front of whisky drinker’s cabinets in the past year or so it’s Glen Scotia. Here we have an 18 year old release from their Campbeltown distillery which is full of their smoky, fruity, coastal style of whisky. Aged in American oak casks and finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – The higher peat content gives a more sweet and smoky character and a beautiful rounded finish.
Palate – Rich deep vanilla fruit flavours, apricot and pineapple, plump sultana.
Finish – Long and dry with gentle warming spic
