A whisky series that celebrates some of the people who make up this Highland distillery’s history. Chapter 3 focuses on Sir Arthur John Tedder, who arrived at the Glengoyne distillery in 1899 as their distillery onsite excise officer. 9 years after arriving at the distillery, he was called as a first witness to the Royal Commison as to what defined Scotch Whisky, particularly with reference to the newly popular Scottish Grain whisky. He had a distinguished career in the Board of Customs and helped devise the old age pension. A dram that is also a history lesson! Slow distilled and aged in American oak sherry casks, this dram shows Glengoyne’s fruity, unpeated house style and spirit character. A dram we are sure Sir Tedder would approve of.
