King’s Hill Dry Gin 70cl
King's Hill Gin is a small batch Scottish gin combining traditional gin botanicals including juniper, orris root and coriander with botanicals handpicked from the Pentland Hills including gorse, heather and elderflower. The result is a clean, smooth, slightly sweet, full-bodied gin.
The name comes from a bet between King Robert the Bruce and Sir William 'The Crusader' Sinclair of Roslin. The wager - to catch the elusive white Pentland Stag - was won by Sinclair who named the hill side in the King's honour. Created with botanicals grown high in the hill that he won from the king, King's Hill Gin is a salute to the Crusader.
Made in batches of around 200 bottles in Marion, a traditional Iberian copper pot still, and presented in a beautiful blue bottle with a diamond effect which is a nod to the royal inspiration behind the gin.

TASTING NOTES:
Color: golden mile.
Aroma: very creamy, vanilla pudding. Smoke developed and toasted marshmallow, herbs and fruits rich
Taste: the palate incredibly balanced, rich and creamy with a slight medicinal hint. Smoke always present, soft smoke persistent.
PRODUCER: Springbank Distillers.
COUNTRY: Scotland.
PRODUCTION DETAILS: aged in ex-bourbon without any influence of a barrel of sherry. It is either filtered cold, no additional colorants and no age statement.

We think this is a balanced malt with a combination of sherry and sweet fresh fruits with an underlying apple all the way through from nose to finish, paired with a hint of spice.

Okayama Single Malt Japanese Whisky 40% 70cl
Miyashita Distillery had been producing beer, sake and shochu well before moving into Japanese whisky. A rewarding move though, and this bottling - named after the southern prefecture of Japan that the distillery calls home - celebrates their 100th birthday. Made using a combination of Japanese and German malted barley, then aged in ex-brandy barrels, the Okayama combines a floral quality with citrus, honey, and a peppercorn warmth, which relaxes into oaky spices
