MACALLAN SHERRY OAK 18YO 43% VOL 70CL
Released as part of Macallan’s ever-wonderful Sherry Oak range comes this 12 Year Old. It has spent its entire maturation in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, and is bottled at 40% ABV after its 12 years of ageing. It’s full of all those hallmark dried fruit and marmalade notes we’ve come to know and love from a sherried Macallan.
A collaboration between Macallan and Nini Sum – an artist based out of Shanghai and Berlin. Designed to be the perfect dram to bring in the New Year. Like all Macallan bottlings this underwent meticulous cask selection, with first-fill bourbon barrels, European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks making up this bottling.

Miyashita Distillery had been producing beer, sake and shochu well before moving into Japanese whisky. A rewarding move though, and this bottling – named after the southern prefecture of Japan that the distillery calls home – celebrates their 100th birthday. Made using a combination of Japanese and German malted barley, then aged in ex-brandy barrels, the Okayama combines a floral quality with citrus, honey, and a peppercorn warmth, which relaxes into oaky spices
Initially sweet, the soft notes of fruit, honey and butterscotch develop to reveal more complexity with traditional maritime and spice flavours combining with the subtlest touch of peat smoke.
